How to add an Email Account

If you host your website with Shimmer Technologies, you can follow these steps to add an email address to your account.


Go to the web hosting section of the Shimmer Technologies website. Then click Account and Login, this should bring you to the web hosting client area. Or you can click on the link below.

Login with your email account that you used when you created your hosting account and the password used. If you forgot your password you can click on the link forgot password to reset it.


Once you are logged in click on the Services or in the menu click Services and then My Services. This will bring you to your services page.


Click on the row of the website account you want to add your email account to.


Click on the email accounts link under Quick Shortcuts.


Click on the Add Email Account link at the top.


Under Add Email Account enter your desired email address.


Then enter your password and re-type it again in the second box.


Under Mailbox Quota set the mail box size limit. If you want to have unlimited space choose Unlimited.


Check Send welcome email with client configuration if you want to have the IMAP settings sent to you so you can setup your email account in an email client such as Microsoft Outlook. We will go over this in another post.


Then click Create Account and you are all done. You now have a new email address.
